Hi my name is April! I’m a very good girl rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. First I was abandoned in a SA neighborhood. Multiple neighbors would feed me so I survived in the neighborhood through handouts. Although I was known as the neighborhood dog, no one would give me a home. Once day ACS came and did a neighborhood sweep and I was picked up and taken to the shelter. I was pregnant and ACS aborted my litter. And turns out I also had heartworms.
So about me in my foster home: I’m an aspiring lap dog, I love snuggling with my humans. I also enjoy playing with my toys. Foster mom thinks I’ll be easy to train because I respond to treats. I want alllll the treats! I live in a foster home with two kids and I like them a lot. My two doggy foster brothers, that took a little getting used to. Takes me some time to trust other dogs. They’re cool now but I’m not about that wrestling type of dog-playing. I’m a LADY…a PRINCESS. I enjoy more civilized activities like rolling in the grass with a toy in my mouth. Anyway I’m glad to be a house dog. I’m on my heartworm rest period but I’ll be done with treatment and ready to go after June 21st.
