Aspen

Aspen

From: Texas

Aspen is an Australian shepherd (double merle). She is intelligent, energetic and loving. She is somewhat hearing impaired so she uses her other senses (sight & smell) to interact with her environment. She barks if she wants attention. She is a complete love bug and needs to be in a home where she will get a lot of attention. She has learned some dog hand signals (eg. sit, down, come, quiet). Her new family should be prepared to reinforce and use this training.

Foster insights/story : Aspen is simply amazing and everyone who meets her loves her ! She is gentle and a complete love bug who is your shadow! I cant express her sweetness enough!

Foster update: She is bright, curious and energetic (typical Australian Shepherd). She responds to recently learned hand signals for sit, down and come. I do believe she has a very keen mind. She loves going for leash walks and is very friendly with dogs she meets.
She is good with women, men, children, can be touched and loves being cuddled and having tummy rubs. She has some stiffness in rear her leg but it does not hold her back, manages stairs easily. She also loves the car.

Aspen would thrive as the only dog in a home. She flourishes on the individual attention and seems eager to learn and be loved exclusively.
