Foster Notes: Hazel is a very low maintenance dog. She prefers to lie on her bed most of the day. She is getting used to using her left rear leg after her FHO surgery. She has limited extension of her left hip and will always try to favour that side. She has been living at the clinic since her accident in April. She is given free roam of the clinic, even after hours. Hazel never has to be crated and is never destructive. She loves people and is tolerant of other dogs. She really just wants to spend her remaining years on a comfy bed and the occasional walk on a leash.
She was found walking down a country road and when a staff member stopped to pick her up her entire body was run over by a car. She luxated her hip and had corrective surgery a few weeks later. She is now ready for her forever home where she would be happy as an only dog or with other low energy dogs.
She deserves a warm bed by a fireplace for the rest of her life. She is the best!
