Reflecting on a Decade: The 2025 Impact Report

Niagara Dog Rescue hit a major milestone in 2025 as we celebrated a full decade of saving lives. With our 10th anniversary now behind us, we’ve put together a comprehensive Impact Report to document what that journey has looked like and, more importantly, how your support translates into lives saved.

This 25-page report is designed to give our supporters a transparent, internal look at how the NDR "Village" actually functions. To make sense of such a large operation, we’ve broken the document down into three core sections:

Part 1: The Heart

Focus: Our Mission & Impact

At its core, NDR is built on a simple promise: to find every dog the safety they deserve, regardless of how long it takes. In 2025, that promise led to nearly 1,000 successful adoptions. In this section, we highlight the programs that drive these results, including our Companionship Initiative for veterans and the Hope For Pawz program for our most vulnerable cases. You will also find the specific stories of dogs like Sonya, Rocky, and Mister Junior, whose journeys define what we do.

Part 2: The Hustle

Focus: Logistics & Growth

Saving an average of at least 1,000 dogs a year doesn't happen by accident. This feat requires incredible grit and coordination. This section pulls back the curtain on the "Hustle" it takes. We focus on the tireless work of our transport teams, foster coordinators, and global partners. We take a closer look at our expanding reach across Canada and the USA, alongside our vital international work in Antigua, the Bahamas, Mexico, and Korea.

Part 3: The Home Base

Focus: Our Foundation & Future

A mission of this scale requires a professional, steady foundation to remain sustainable. In this final section, we outline the infrastructure that allows NDR to stand strong despite the increasing pressures on the rescue community. We cover everything from our commitment to financial transparency and stewardship to the operational systems and volunteer recruitment strategies that are currently shaping our path forward into 2026.
