Ferndale Public School

We have been so pleasantly blessed with the generosity of our younger community members that it inspired us to start a new series of posts on our blog called “Young Heroes”.   This all began earlier this year with Mr. Snider’s Grade 7/8 class at Ferndale Public School. These young students fundraised for NDR in lieu of a gift exchange at Christmas. We were thrilled to be the recipient of their generosity and were so pleased that awareness was and is being brought to animal welfare in the classroom and school.  What an amazing group of students!  Thank you to each and every one of them and their teacher Mr. Snider.

To show our gratitude, the class was allowed to name a litter of puppies! Shaki gave birth to 12 beautiful puppies (sadly one of the puppies passed away) The students were sent photos of the puppies and with great excitement, named all the sweet souls, including a special name for the one that passed. RIP little one.  “Bright-heart”.

We look forward to sharing more of these incredible Young Heroes stories with all of you.  Your hearts will be warmed as these amazing youngsters inspire us all.  Stay tuned!

Thank you to

We couldn’t do what we do without the
