Graduation Day

It's Graduation Day

There are a lot of images below and yes I'm bragging...

Question is why...

Why is

Because it's a small insight into the journey that began June 2, 2024.

From the rainy Sunday meet and pick up to the daily adventures and training experiences today.

This lil guy has made me incredibly proud.   He passed his obedience and service dog training with flying colors.

From injured and strained vision wandering the streets of Alabama hoping for help love and a chance.

He got just that.  He was cared for by amazing people in Alabama and nursed back to physical and emotional health

His eye, his shots, his microchip all of including transportation over the border to Canada all covered by the amazing volunteers at NDR and those they work with.

Ruger is special as all dogs are...But special in relation to his duties outside of being a loving pup.

Special as in he reads me instantly.   He knows what I want when I want it and he does it with care and love.  He knows when I'm in my own head with memories and licks me until I snap back.

He is super responsive and more impressive he is not doing any of it for treats or food.

It's pleasing me and the validation he indulges in.

This guy has and will continue to to add to my life and well being.

Hes more than I could have hoped or asked for especially when he has huge paws to fill with my last model citizen dog.  He's done it with ease.

Now he is obedience and service status certified with his new identifiers and gear.

His future will now include much more exposure to businesses etc in our travels.

He definitely makes me function better and keeps me present in my head.

Ruger is the 1st special needs adoptee and was obtained through the compassion initiative.

He's special but not because of his appearance.

It's his contagious heart that's the danger

Thank you NDR💙
