Meet Caroline (20220624-01)
Insight: Caroline can be scared with new people, especially new visitors to the home. Sometimes she’s even fearful of those she has met before. If she doesn’t settle when not being acknowledged and she continues to bark, her crate is her safe place. She can go to her crate and the crate be draped with a sheet and she is perfectly happy and reassured of her safety. She is happy whenever she is with her people…even if that means in the bathroom. She thinks that she belongs halfway on your lap while resting on the couch with you and there is no such thing as too close. She’s a foodie and will sample anything that may be at or below her height that you may be enjoying. She still has a few curious puppy habits and should be kenneled when not able to be watched. She gets lonely and looks for fun/entertainment when she is alone. She has never damaged or destroyed anything in my home, but does occasionally pick up random items such as shoes and kids toys. Caroline knows the commands sit (voice and/or hand signal), come, No and kennel.
A female only home would be ideal...as she takes awhile to warm up and trust men.
Women - yes
Men - skittish at first
she spooks easily with new people
due to her nervousness she would need a quiet home with another dog for confidence.
