Meet Miss Dolly (20231204-01)
Backstory: Miss Dolly was unfortunately dumped by her owners multiple times. Different spots that spread over 2 counties. I saw her posted multiple times in different spots but once she was posted super close to me, not even 5 minutes away so after work I went and looked for her. By the time I got there, her "owners" had picked her up. I thought this was odd, how can a dog be running away from home this many times and ending up miles and miles away but always found one spot she would stay in? Well after I started digging I eventually found her owners. I then got in contact with another lady that knew her owners personally and come to find out, they aren't good people. Apparently they had been dumping her and when someone would post her on Facebook, her owners would get tagged so they'd go pick her up and drop her off at a new location. I messaged the owners myself, they refused to even respond back to me but they claimed she just kept "running away" or her neighbors were stealing her and dumping her in different places. Luckily after the 5th or 6th time she was dumped I immediately messaged the poster and explained the situation and told her to remove the post and that I was on my way to get her! When I arrived she jumped right into my car.
Additional info/personality comments: Miss Dolly is super sweet! She gets excited though sometimes and forgets her manners and will jump all over you! She needs leash work, I've tried and tried but I'm not an expert on that yet so it's still a work in progress! I can tell she's ready to have her a new family that would never even consider dumping her. She's been through so much. She's beyond ready for her happily ever after.
