Meet Rose (20220102-01)
Rose is one lovely girl. She is well socialized and enjoys welcoming new people into her world. She loves men and women and children alike. She has gotten along with every other dog she's met - both large and small, male and female.
She is housebroken, crate trained, and sleeps on a dog bed. She hasn't been crated since she has been with me because she has had her puppies to look after but prior to that, she had no issues being crated.
She does love to chew, and should be monitored for the first few days to ensure that she confines her chewing to acceptable toys and not your shoes!
She really is a "Mixed" breed dog, she has the ears of a shepherd, and yet is much smaller than even my smallest shepherd. She's rather long and willowy, and has a delicate bone structure.
She is more than ready to stop being a "mom" and to have a fresh start in life as someone's best friend. She will rarely leave your side.
Foster insights/story : Rose is the loveliest dog. She adapts well to other dogs, listens fairly well and has learned how to sit when asked, (Staying put is a different story!) But in fairness to Rose, I haven't had time to work on obedience with her. I think that she will respond so well to obedience classes as she really wants to please. She is also very food motivated.
she will bolt out the door if you're not careful, but she has been excellent at coming back when called.
she will chew shoes, slippers that are left around
Would probably prefer to be the only dog. She's never had much attention in her life and here she has to share the attention with 2 other dogs and ten puppies. However, she gets along well with all dogs she's met...and over the Christmas holiday has been with 5 other dogs ranging from little to large and done amazingly well with them all.
probably, although she might bark
