Meet Butterscotch (20251005-01)

History: Rescued from a horrific hoarding situation totaling 26 dogs.
Other important info:
Butterscotch came from a heartbreaking hoarding case involving 26 dogs. We were able to rescue seven of them, with Butterscotch being the oldest of the group. When he first arrived at the shelter, this gentle little soul trembled like a leaf. But in foster care, he’s finally realizing that he’s safe, loved, and never alone again. Butterscotch is a sweet, affectionate boy who soaks up every bit of human attention. His favorite thing in the world is to be held, cuddled, and told he’s a good boy. He enjoys spending time around other dogs but prefers calmer company - when things get too rowdy, he retreats to the comfort of a human lap. He doesn’t enjoy loud and rowdy.
He’d thrive in a quieter home, perhaps with a retired person who still enjoys getting out and about and going on adventures, or a family with older, gentle kids who will shower him with love.
Butterscotch doesn’t ask for much - just kindness, a soft spot to rest, and someone who will make him feel like he finally belongs.
