Meet Chocolate (20250603-02) and Lucy (20250603-01)
Foster insights/backstory: Lucy is a very sweet girl. She’s excited to see you every day and will show extreme wiggle-butt tendencies. But other than that she’s quite content to rest in a patch of sun or lounge on a favorite chair. She enjoys attention but doesn’t really seek it out. All that to say, she is not clingy but will definitely be good company.
Foster insights/backstory: Chocolate is a good little boy. He is low energy and likes nothing more than to sit on your lap or next to his sister. Like most chihuahuas, he has a big bark, but he’s not an excessive barker. He will hold his ground with our other dogs and makes them wait if he’s at the food dish.
It took him about 2 days to trust us. The first 48 hours he didn’t want to leave his crate but after that, though, he’s been a dream!
Quick note about Lucy and Chocolate together. They were owner surrendered. Lucy is pretty independent, but Chocolate is definitely bonded to Lucy. He likes to keep her in his sight and will cry when separated from her. They sleep together in a large kennel at night, and I sometimes find them snuggled up there during the day as well.
They are a sweet little pair. They are low maintenance and just need a loving family that will let Chocolate sit on their lap while Lucy sits on a chair nearby.
